A 30-year veteran of Peninsula real estate, Whitten will join Menlo Park-based Pacific Union Vice President David Barca and Palo Alto-based Vice President Katharine Carroll to lead Pacific Union’s expansion in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Together, this team of executives brings a unique blend of local expertise, longtime experience, and deep knowledge of the latest technologies to help Pacific Union’s Silicon Valley real estate professionals provide top-notch service to their clients.

“We have reorganized the Silicon Valley region to report to Pacific Union President Patrick Barber,” says company CEO Mark A. McLaughlin. “Patrick’s vision and strategic focus will be complemented by our team of regional executives, including David Barca, Kat Carroll, and now Leigh Whitten. This team of executives will provide exceptional leadership throughout the region and resource our real estate professionals with nearly 60 years of industry experience — managing complex transactions — as well as new ideas and innovation for the new generation of clients we are serving.”

A New York native and former professional figure skater and U.S. gold medalist, Whitten has been working in Peninsula real estate since 1986, including a 12-year stint at Coldwell Banker in which she consistently ranked among the brokerage’s top 10 real estate professionals. In 2002, she transitioned to a management role in Coldwell Banker’s Burlingame office, where she grew the company’s presence to 100 real estate professionals.

Pacific Union’s 27 Northern California offices include locations in Menlo Park, Burlingame, and Palo Alto. Whitten will be based out of the company’s Burlingame office.
